Global Express

Global Express Executive JetThe Global Express is a high speed, large cabin, ultra long range corporate jet aircraft developed and manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace and its subsidiaries. The Global 5000 is a slightly shorter version and the Global Express XRS was introduced as an upgraded version of the original aircraft with increased range, speed, and new cabin layout.  The Global Express XRS has since been rebranded as the Global Express 6000 and is the successor to the original Global Express. Additionally, Bombardier rebranded the growing family of ultra long range corporate jets as ‘Global’ followed by a series number denoting the range of the jet in nautical miles (e.g Global 5000 and Global 6000).

The Global Express is considered by many to be the pioneer of ultra-long-range private jets.  When it was introduced in 1993 it offered the largest cabin and range of any private jet.  With the Global Express, Bombardier offered the range, speed, and size of an airliner with the comfort and amenities of an executive suite.  The Global Express travels intercontinental ranges without need of refueling (e.g. New York–Tokyo) or between most destinations in the world with only one stop.

At the time of its launch, the Global Express featured a new swept wing design and winglets and the now common T-tail.  The cockpit features Honeywell Primus 2000XP avionics suite and was designed to be intuitive and easy to operate;  many flight control systems require almost no input from the pilots.  In addition to operational ease, the aircraft has two or three backup system for most of its critical systems providing ultimate reliability for pilots and lending peace of mind to its passengers and operators.

The Global Express cabin is designed for maximum comfort and offers a number of amenities for long, transoceanic flights.  The cabin can be divided into three separate areas providing increased privacy during work or relaxation.  Passengers enjoy all the connectivity and features of an airborne executive office and the exceptionally well insulated cabin ensures that activity in any space is productive.  The cabin also features two lavatories standard and the full-width aft lavatory space is often equipped with a shower.

Simply put, the Global Express cabin size, accommodations, range, and speed offers unlimited travel options for destinations anywhere in the world.
